Owners and operators are responsible for safe vessel operation, legal seaworthiness, required equipment, captain/crew qualifications, passenger briefings, local operating rules, capacity limits, marina rules and emergency procedures.
2. Captain and crew decisions
The captain or qualified operator has final operational authority during the trip. Renters and guests must follow captain/crew instructions, including route changes, speed limits, no-swim decisions, life-jacket instructions and early return decisions.
3. Renter and guest behavior
Renters must provide accurate guest counts, avoid unsafe behavior, respect capacity limits, supervise children, follow alcohol/substance rules, protect the vessel and avoid activities not approved by the owner or captain.
4. Weather and sea conditions
Weather forecasts, sea state, tides, port instructions and safety conditions may change. Owners/captains may reschedule, shorten, reroute or cancel trips when they decide it is safer to do so.
5. Listing reports
Users should report listings that appear unsafe, inaccurate, fraudulent, over-capacity, improperly insured or missing required captain/registration information. Admin may pause listings pending review.
6. No safety guarantee
