This starter privacy policy describes the core data flows in the EnjoyBoat MVP. Review it before production launch and adapt it to your legal jurisdiction. Localized legal copy can be expanded after counsel review; the English starter text remains the controlling draft for launch preparation.

We may collect account details, contact information, listing details, inquiry and booking request content, messages, saved boats, reviews, contact form submissions, analytics events, security logs, payment references, compliance document metadata and technical data such as IP-derived hashes, browser information and referrers.
Owners may upload identity, company, registration, license, insurance or safety documents for admin review. These files are stored in private storage and should be accessed only by authorized admins or the document owner.
We use information to operate the marketplace, show listings, send inquiries and booking notifications, support owner and renter dashboards, verify listings, prevent spam and abuse, improve SEO/content performance, troubleshoot errors, and respond to support requests.
Renter contact details and request information may be shared with the relevant owner when a renter sends an inquiry or booking request. Admin users may access marketplace data to moderate listings, review compliance, respond to support requests and keep the platform safe.
EnjoyBoat sends transactional emails such as account, listing, inquiry, booking, payment, message and admin notifications. Marketing emails should only be sent when the user has opted in or where allowed by applicable law.
The platform stores lightweight analytics events and security events to understand demand, improve quality, prevent spam, protect accounts and detect abuse. IP addresses may be hashed before storage where possible.

Data is kept only as long as needed for marketplace operations, legal obligations, safety, dispute handling, backup retention, analytics and legitimate business purposes. Compliance documents should be deleted or archived when no longer needed.
Users can update account/profile information from dashboards where available. For deletion, correction, access or compliance-document questions, contact the site admin through the contact page.
EnjoyBoat uses role-based access, CSRF protection, private document storage, upload restrictions, security logging and server-side controls. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
