Renter Responsibilities

Renters help make trips safer by choosing suitable listings, sharing accurate details and following owner/captain instructions.

Last updated: May 1, 2026

Launch note: This is starter operational/legal copy for the MVP. Review it with qualified counsel before relying on it for paid operations, regulated charter activity, or country-specific compliance.

1. Review before requesting

Renters should check capacity, location, included services, captain/fuel rules, cancellation, weather, deposit and insurance notes before sending a request or payment.

2. Accurate trip details

Renters must provide accurate guest counts, preferred date/time, route, occasion, accessibility needs, children/pets/equipment needs and any special requests.

3. Safety behavior

Renters and guests must follow captain/crew instructions, respect capacity limits, supervise children, avoid unsafe behavior and follow local boating, alcohol and marina rules.

4. Payments and deposits

Renters should not pay outside agreed channels unless they understand the owner’s terms. Deposits may be held or claimed for damage, missing items, late return or rule violations.

5. Weather and changes

Renters should expect that route, timing or the trip itself may change because of weather, sea conditions, port rules or captain safety decisions.

6. Problems and support

If details look inaccurate or a dispute arises, renters should keep communication in platform messages, collect relevant evidence and contact support.
