1. Owner responsibility
Owners are responsible for having appropriate insurance for their vessel, rental/charter activity, passengers, captain/crew, marina requirements and local law. They must keep insurance information accurate and current.
EnjoyBoat launch policy
EnjoyBoat may collect and review insurance or compliance documents from owners, but insurance coverage always depends on the actual policy, jurisdiction, operator and trip details. Localized legal copy can be expanded after counsel review; the English starter text remains the controlling draft for launch preparation.

An “Insurance checked” or similar badge means an admin has reviewed information provided by the owner. It does not guarantee policy validity, coverage amount, claims approval, legal compliance or that the policy covers every trip type.
Before paying, renters should confirm whether the trip is captained or bareboat, whether commercial charter/rental activity is covered, which passengers and activities are included, whether a deposit applies and what happens in case of weather, damage or cancellation.
EnjoyBoat may maintain a list of insurance contacts or partners for admin/owner operations. Unless clearly stated in a separate agreement, EnjoyBoat is not an insurance broker, underwriter or claims adjuster.
Any insurance claim is handled under the applicable policy and by the relevant insurer or owner/operator. EnjoyBoat support can help collect marketplace evidence but cannot guarantee claim outcomes.
Insurance and compliance files are treated as private documents. They should be uploaded through the owner compliance area and served only through protected admin/owner download routes.
